Use three separate budget lines
Start with hardware, player and television service. If you already own a compatible TV, the hardware line may be zero. If its store lacks a suitable player, compare a supported external device before replacing the television. Check model compatibility first, because a familiar app name can exist on different platforms.
The player line belongs to the app publisher. It may be free, paid or limited by a licence trial. The service line covers the subscription duration you choose. Keep receipts labelled by supplier; an app-payment prompt after a service purchase is not automatically a duplicate charge.
- Hardware: only what you actually need to add.
- Player: the publisher’s current licence and renewal terms.
- Service: the upfront plan payment and any separate screen allowance.
Read LugoTV’s prices as upfront totals
Standard LugoTV plans are £12.99 for 1 month, £24.99 for 3 months, £38.99 for 6 months and £54.99 for 12 months. These are one-time payments for the selected duration. The monthly equivalent helps compare lengths; it is not a monthly payment schedule.
A longer duration lowers the monthly equivalent but commits more money upfront. Choose the period after checking your device and preferred channels. Where an eligible invitation or code applies, review the actual discounted total at checkout rather than calculating a price from an old email.
Ask what happens when the device changes
A player licence can be associated with an app account or a particular device identity. The publisher decides transfer and renewal terms. Before paying on a Smart TV, check what happens if you replace the television or want to use a different player.
An app’s temporary licence trial is not the same as a LugoTV service trial. One tests the interface; the other supplies time-limited access when approved. Write down which supplier offers the trial, what is included and when it ends.
Resolve the unclear items first
Ask whether your planned second television needs another service connection, whether your chosen app charges separately and what support covers. Do not infer those answers from a picture of a TV, a catalogue count or a player’s Premium badge.
Keep the written quote or checkout summary with the device model you checked. It gives you a useful reference if you return to the decision later. An inexpensive plan is only the right choice when the whole setup matches how your household watches.
Your next step
Use what you learned on your own device, then choose a setup or plan that answers your needs.
